Ordered by the Khidive of Egypt as İbrahimiye. Contract turned over to the Ottoman Navy, 9/8/1868.Retrofitted: 1890-1892 Haliç Shipyards, Istanbul 1900-1907 Germania Shipyards, Kiel Germany. Asar-ı Tevfik has seen action during the Russo-Turkish war of (1877-78) "93 Harbi".
On August 24 while anchored at Sohumkale 3 Russian gunboats Miner, Navarin ve Sinop attacked and caused torpedo damage below the water level which was repaired at Batum (Batumi).She took part in the Dardanelles operation on 18th January 1913 and was damaged by gun fire and later received more damage from Bulgarian guns and eventually became a wreck on 25th January 1913.
On 11/2/1913 she grounded at Yalıköy. Scuttled by the crew after the removal of guns.
